For Any Modern London, Pre-Lock Down Wedding

I always enjoy writing about London weddings, probably because it's currently where I make my home, and thus it's always fun to determine familiar landmarks, but additionally so many of the hidden gems the town has such abundance.

 

 

Today's relaxed celebration also has a gin and tonic and cocktail bar, a vintage Routemaster bus, a brief tattoo stand, and photobooth, and doughnuts galore. , who works in leadership development and coaching, married her love James, who works in banking around the 7th March 2020 in the spectacularly beautiful Peckham, South East London. They followed this track of a reception in the antique-filled Georgian mansion.

Ruth's softly tousled ponytail was styled by among her close friends from home, and stylish bridal make-up was by, who had been recommended to Ruth by a friend. Dramatic nail art came thanks to the super-talented.

It's amazing to see that Ruth had this type of lovely experience at her chosen bridal boutique. There she chose her beautifully slinky gown; slip dress yourself in style having a low V-back and subtle train.

"I knew from the beginning what I wanted my kate middleton wedding dress to appear like – silk, sleeveless, and has a V neck and mid-back. Everyone explained that I could end up choosing something different from what I had been in mind, but I wound up finding a dress that matched my idea perfectly! What I loved probably the most about it had been how unbelievably comfortable it had been. It felt like I was wearing pajamas."

"James found Asylum Chapel online so that as soon as I stepped inside I just knew it needed to be our venue. We didn't employ a planner but we caused Frances Marden in the Chapel to coordinate the logistics for that venue, and she or he was brilliant."

James wore a deep blue suit, having a shirt, waistcoat, and tie, an environmentally friendly pocket square, and shoes. Here

"James wanted something that he could wear again. When he described what he had been on mind the shop assistant wound up pulling a suit in the stockroom which was out of season. It was perfect and it became ridiculously discounted. The store also arranged all his alterations for that week before the wedding."

Ruth wore a custom-made nameplate necklace with James’ surname, which was a lovely surprise for him in the ceremony, along with a wonderful keepsake for Ruth to put on after your day. A final touch was provided with a chapel-length veil borrowed from Ruth's sister, Hannah.

"A mutual friend Sarah introduced us and spent a few years trying to set us up. When Ruth went to live in England and we met in person for that first time we instantly hit them back and started dating a couple of months later (much to Sarah's smugness and our annoyance at her being right!)."

"We got engaged in August 2019 – James proposed while I was on a walk across the Seven Sisters having a custom 'Galaxy Grey' diamond."

"As one friend placed it, 'Proposing having a galaxy ring through the ocean, he is perfect for you!' We got married just over 6 months later."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Honestly simply do whatever you want and don't overthink it or let others derail you. It's the wedding, your entire day – we didn't wish to accomplish certain traditional stuff that others may expect, and we have no regrets about not doing them."
