EA has detailed their plans

While it's possible that the new version will look very like previous versions however, there is a general expectation amongst critics and supporters alike that the capabilities of next-gen consoles could permit a significant distinction to be noticed. Although EA has detailed their plans to provide the most enjoyable gaming experience on both new and current consoles, whether or not they can make good on their pledge can only be determined on October 9 and the day that the next-gen versions become available.

The decision of buy Fut 24 Coins to concentrate on the next generation of systems is in line with the strategy of its rival Konami who are the creators of its Pro Evolution Soccer series. Konami has taken the decision not to launch any next game until the season 2021-22 because of the switch between Fox Engine into Unreal Engine 5.
