A Classy Winter Wedding

This gorgeous wedding happened in the depth of winter and it is full of sultry and romantic vibes.

Bride Sophie and her love Peter tied the knot on 6th December 2019 having a ceremony at St Marys Church in Whitewell, Whitchurch, then a reception at a personal country house touching the borders of North Wales, Shropshire, and Cheshire.

"One of my favorite times during the year is Christmas – many people seem to want summer weddings however for me I loved the thought of having a candlelit wedding breakfast. I also wasn't interested in the thought of wearing a marriage dress in the summer heat. We loved being able to possess mulled wine, fairy lights, candles, and Christmas trees within the church and venue."

"I had my wedding gown made by FeelTimes. I was trying to find long-sleeved wedding gowns on Pinterest and discovered a dress I loved. I googled and couldn’t think that her shop only agreed to be down the road!"

"I chose to change my dress within the evening to something smaller so I could dance with all of my guests – I chose a sparkly dress."

"We met nearly eight years back in a bar whenever we both lived in Leeds. Peter went to live in Manchester annually later for work but we were able to maintain our long-distance relationship. In July 2018 Peter proposed whilst I was on holiday in Mauritius. We booked our wedding venue a couple of months later for an additional year."

"My father came towards the church with me within the wedding car – he walked me on the aisle to Trumpet Voluntary played with a string quartet within the church."

"We were built with a religious and nonreligious reading read by Peters's sister Luci and my maid of honor Joanna respectively." Go

"Peter wore morning dress and his Dad's pocket watch.”

"I had seven bridesmaids and wasn't keen to possess them all within the same dress. Choosing a winter color was tricky as I didn't want anything darker and uneven – I decided on the blue bridesmaid dresses all within the same color but different designs and materials."

"I allow the girls to determine which they liked most out of a choice of about six styles. I also bought girls feather stoles which looked amazing!"

"This was the very first (and last) venue we visited to see. I had spent a while taking a look at venues on the internet and had shown up on Facebook as a suggestion – the place was about an hour or so from our home and equidistant for both our families which were perfect. As soon as we looked around we'd decided it had been the venue for all of us, to finish it off St Mary's Church just a couple of minutes in the road am beautiful and quaint."

"We also hired a classic bus to transport the wedding party from the venue towards the church and again."

"Our wedding favors were small Christmas crackers from Hotel Chocolat having chocolate inside."

"We used wooden cutouts for name placements. These were purchased via Etsy from the company called 'porky penguin'."

"We wanted a soul band because it is music both of us enjoy. We opted for any seven-piece band including brass. We were so keen to find the band right once we felt evening entertainment would play a big a part in our big day. did not disappoint….we've had a lot of compliments regarding their performance. They were a lot of fun and we hardly left the party area."

"Our first dance was 'Heaven should have sent you're through the Elgins."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Whilst planning our wedding so lots of people said to not stress within the small stuff which you'll be so busy at the time you won't notice. I think this is difficult advice to defend myself against the board you're likely to spend quite a long time deliberating and considering every factor of your wedding – to make it worthwhile taking the time at the time to take one step back and look at all of your hard work."
