The following article is about the domestic abuse which women of today,s era still facing in different ways

Pakistan is renewed on the global gender gap index 2018 as the sixth most dangerous country in the world for women and the second worst in the world in terms of gender inequality. The number of research cases of sexual crime and domestic violence is rising rapidly in Pakistan day by day.
Every one third women of Pakistan is a victim of domestic violence and psychological and emotional abuse. This happens with both a literate women and illiterate women.47% of married women have experienced sexual abuse, particularly domestic rape, and 90% of women in Pakistan have experienced some form of domestic violence at the hands of their husbands and families.50% of the women who experience domestic violence don’t respond in any way and suffer silently. All this is because, after so much modernization and advancement still women are considered inferior to men .The men have all the privileges and decision making rights. The financial instability force men to use his anger on his wife.
Moreover the misconceptions about religion also comes here however educated women knows that Islam gives equal rights and status to women and men and women are in no way inferior to men.
In police no specific helpline is available to counter with such problems. Local police usually takes no action when women report about the abuses and violence they are facing at home. Moreover, there are very less women protection laws in Pakistan by which women raise their voices against their husbands and families. Even if they find out such Ngo or organizations they provide temporary facilities and no such legal help. They are many problems for women in our society such as fight for education and basic necessities, early marriages and gender inequality. That is why it is very important for women to be educated and financially independent.
There are various causes of domestic violence like women low education, low empowerment, existing misconceptions about Islamic thoughts and traditional norms, misuse of worn in the name of honor like justifying honor killings, poverty and unjust traditional dowry system.
The government of Pakistan failed to protect women and provide them with basic rights. Mostly people are reluctant in sending girls to school, college and university because they have a fear in mind that when women go for higher studies they will become more broadminded, powerful and confident. Educated women are better mothers too. Educated women means educated nation. When women are uneducated it affects the entire society and economy in negative manner. The reputation of overall economy goes downward and they are get ranked among the illiterate countries of the world.
Women of today’s era must be knowing about their basic rights in order to live a respectable, on abusive, confident and fruitful life. They become well mannered, hardworking, and independent and also become capable of serving their families. Therefore at individual level it is necessary to raise your voice against such crimes and at national level, educational and health facilities should be provided. Proper accommodation, jobs or financial assistance along with proper legal aid should be given to the affected women.
