Insight Runeword Guide in Diablo II: Resurrected

Insight is most often used as a weapon to have an Act II Mercenary because the Meditation aura is an amazing boon for low-to-mid-game characters that have a problem with mana-intensive builds and few tools to cope with it. The Meditation aura could be a game changer, even going to Sorceresses who can regenerate mana with Warmth. It still works well like a melee weapon for that Mercenary. It's also sometimes utilized in staff for casters because it has a good Faster Cast Rate.

Its other properties show an incredibly good balance between being a caster weapon (for leveling casters) along with a melee weapon (for Act II mercenaries). It shows a few of the problems with any compromise, for the reason that it's average although not spectacular at either job. But the Meditation aura is really strong at mid-levels the small sacrifices are worth it.

Insight for Mercenaries

Insight inside a Polearm to have an Act II Desert Wolf Mercenary has transformed the lives of numerous mana-hungry classes. You can also use Insight inside a bow to have an Act I Rogue mercenary on Missile Weapons. Many players still upgrade the bottom weapon of the mercenary's Insight well into Hell levels.

Best Socketed Base Items for Insight

Polearms for Act II Mercenaries: Scythes (watch the Strength requirements)

Staves: Any with 4 sockets; Sorceresses should focus on finding one with good skill bonuses

Missile Weapons: Amazon bows with good +Skill attributes

Be careful when selecting base items for that Mercenary polearm: do NOT use a Spear in error. Make sure to look into the weapon type carefully; you may also use the Polearm Base Items guide below to double-check.

The only Polearms you cannot use would be the Normal, Elite, and Exceptional versions from the Bardiche (Bardiche, Lochaber Axe, and Ogre Axe) because these only have no more than 3 sockets.

Staves carried by casters will not be used as melee weapons, so weapon speed doesn't count here. Sorceresses need to find ones with good Sorceress skill modifiers because these will be retained when converted into a Runeword. Since this requires 4 sockets, any Staves in line with the Short Staff (Jo Staff, Walking Stick) and Long Staff (Quarterstaff, Stalagmite) won't be usable as base items.

Insight bows are going to be used not just by some Amazon classes, but additionally by Act I Mercenaries. Since Act I Mercenaries are now able to use Amazon bows in addition to normal bows, there is no reason for these phones to use other things. Any +Skills around the bows may be used by your Act I Mercs too, and when you can find something which increases their base attack particularly, a lot the better.
