01 — The Ethos
The social journal for the stories you want to keep—and the ones you choose to share.
Writing is how we make sense of our days, and how we pass them on. For too long, digital life meant choosing between noisy social apps where every thought was performed for applause, and isolated note tools where memories simply got lost.
SocialGem bridges those worlds with kindness. You begin in a clean, quiet space. What you write can stay completely private, be sealed behind end-to-end encryption in Secrets for your eyes only, or be published in an open journal that readers follow online and in their morning inbox.
Private first. Open when you choose. Social, as in human, not media.
02 — The Architecture
Engineered for your story.
Secrets Stay Yours.
Some stories are only for you. When you save a story in Secrets, it is sealed directly on your device with end-to-end encryption and your 6-digit passcode. Not even the SocialGem team can decrypt or read them.
Personal Intelligence.
Search your history by how you actually remember: describe a moment in everyday language, like "the café where we waited out the rain," and Quest surfaces the exact story.
Open Journals.
Share an honest life journey on a topic you care about, or publish serialized story books one installment at a time. Readers discover stories in the feed and follow along on the web or directly in their email inboxes—no app download required.
